Thanks to Pinterest I found some fun snack food ideas that we'll be testing out before summer ends.
(speaking of Pinterest... ummm have you joined yet?...
...take it from this "easily addicted momma"...
...it's FAB-u-lous.)
But today is about KID FRIENDLY SNACKS... not the totally cool, addictive Pinterest ... you know, I'm like a moth to a flame .... mkay?
Moving along ... So, my kids love all things "peanut butter"... pb & apples, pb & bananas... pb&j... and so on... and so on.
Last year we made these...
...go HERE to see our version of...
APPLE TEETH

apples
creamy peanut butter
mini marshmallows
New additions that we'll be trying for this year...
1.
HOMEMADE MOZZARELLA STICKS
HOMEMADE EGG MCMUFFINS

... just bake eggs in muffin tin for the perfect "mcmuffin"...
...easy peasy...
3.
APPLE DONUTS

apple
p. butter
granola
chocolate chips
And last but not least...
4.
CHOC. CHIP COOKIE BOWL
I know right... it's another, "WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?" moment...
So the kids have decided to test the mozzarella sticks first... we'll be back with our "professional" opinion. {wink}

And by-the-way... I tried THIS ... and it's awesome.
...go make it now... momma's orders.

LOVE Pinterest, thanks for sharing some of your fun food finds!!! What's your link for there?
The spaghetti franks or "octopus for lunch", as we like to call them, are a HUGE HIT at our house. Add a baby carrot and *poof* a nutritious meal! :-)
And I LOVE that your kids want to try the mozz sticks first. Are you sure they are not MY kids? Nothing better than fried cheese.
XOXO Nik
I've been on the fence about Pinterest, but now I'm SO intrigued! :)
And I made the same coffee this week, it has been my savior every evening since its VBS week, and its CRAZY!! lol...but an awesome crazy :)
love pinterest!!! the coffee looks like too much work.... is it??? and my boys love spaghetti tacos... gonna have to try spaghetti wieners... as I'm sure they'd call them!!
oh and i made the egg mcmufflins this morning... i cooked them for 15 mins in the oven and it was a little bit too long but they were still good... i added sausage patties to them and a slice of yellow cheese!!!! got the idea from pinterest too!
I've tried the speghetti franks and it freaked my 3 year old out. He's the typical cautious older child. Love you! Love your blog! Always a fun visit.
