You asked for it... and your gettin' it... a long, wordy, photo heavy, tutorial on how to make a fabric rosette... "momma gets real style"...
Last fall when I started to make my rosettes ... "I winged it"... and figured it out trial and error... one hot glue gun burn after another... then I got smart and "goggled it"... and found out there are many versions... however, I've honed my craft... and I'm stickin' with my way. Feel free to add your own personal style to yours.. {wink}
Let's get started! ...I really wanted to say... "let's get ready to rumble!" ... but I'm trying to refrain myself.
Note : I did 2 different sizes of the rosettes...
...so the 2 red strips of fabric are for 2 SEPARATE rosettes...
... the yellow strips are for 1 larger rosette...
Note... again: my measurements are not exact...
...call them a "rough estimate" ...
...start twisting and gluing around the corners...
shown: backside of rosettes

Now that your rosette's are done... do somethin' with them! ...
(optional embelleshment)
... the red rosette's in action...
I tried to be very thorough ... I personally don't like tutorials that leave "assumed" steps out... because I'll mess it up somehow... so I tried to be conscience of this... but if you have any questions... please leave me a comment and I'll be sure to answer them... pinky swear.
Next time I'd love to "Vlog" a tutorial. I think it's easier to follow... but since Henry isn't exactly a skilled cameraman ... I mean he's 3 years old and all ... it may not happen soon.
And it doesn't help that our video camera is 10 years old and weighs as much as him.
Yep, we are so "1999" over here...

I think you did a great job with your tutorial! I just love those roses and esp. the big one on the headband! I have tried a few of them but when I get done, I don't know what to do with the roses. I also love the necklace; you will have do a tut on how you attach the chain.
P.S. I think Henry did a great job being the photographer. :)

liquid stitch also works great in place of hot glue... and no burning.
Thank you bunches for the tutorial! I am now the proud owner of a 3-rosette yellow, grey & black necklace to wear to work tomorrow and w/o your help I wouldn't have known where to begin!
Thank you for this!. I'm going to make these this weekend.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This was easy to understand and helped me a ton! The only thing I did different was; instead of a hot glue gun I used liquid stitch. I was in the car and did it out of necessity but I think it made it easier too! Thanks again!
